Robot Machine Player
ME250: Sophomore Design Project | August 2018 - December 2018
This is a robot I designed, modeled, and fabricated to compete in the "game" for ME250, a mechanical engineering design class at the University of Michigan. The game was to traverse a field of obstacles, pick up and transport 1.5in cubes, and score them into a 10 inch high goal. The robot was fabricated using a combination of traditional machining (lathe, mill, etc.) for parts that require greater strength, and 3D printing for unique and effective geometries otherwise not achievable using traditional methods. This robot, as part of a 4 robot team, won 1st place among all teams in the 2018 ME250 "Game of Zones" competition.
