Automated Pill Dispenser
ENGR 100: Freshman Design Project | January 2018 - May 2018
This pill dispenser served as my freshman year design project at the University of Michigan. It is meant to help those who currently require aid to become more independent through self medication. It was designed with a simple user interface and thought free use in mind.
I designed and fabricated the mechanical and electrical systems. Due to time constraints the software was not implemented.

Electrical:
Mechanical:
- Arduino based processing
- Stepper motors drive each level of medication storage
- Speaker announces when it is time to take medication
Mechanical:
- Novel concentric ring mechanism maximizes medication storage density
- Medication dispenses into a removable cup for easy consumption
